Introduction
Bogeyman Golf Collective was the urban fashion wear division of Bogeyman Golf. Set up in 1999, we originally planned to get the short promo clips on MTV Europe and have the merchandising run on the back of the cartoon.
The Gorillaz style format worked really well, but we were warned that should be cartoon be a failure, the clothing brand would never sell in retail outlets. e were going head to head with Oakley, O'Neill and Quiksilver. Sadly the VC investor dropped out at the last minute, leaving 5 years of my work as creative director just sat on the shelf. So just to depress me even more, I have chosen a small selection of the original artwork to post here - to prove that it takes alot more than a good idea to be a success.
